Remembering with Love: Messages of Hope for the First Year of Grieving and Beyond by Elizabeth Levang and Sherokee Ilse. Provides reassurance and compassion for those struggling with a loved one's loss. No two people experience grief in precisely the same way, and no one can tell you how to grieve. It is a process that can't be rushed or avoided. There are no simple shortcuts-it must be lived. Our intention is not to provide a formula or roadmap to grieving. Instead, we have chosen to include a wide range of feelings, options, issues, and experiences that, hopefully, you will relate to as your grief ebbs and flows over time.

These are lovely and so needed. have you thought of creating one for grieving pet owners?
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a book gift basket and how helpful it would be to have a book to comfort in the quiet times.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips, thanks for this post!!
ReplyDeleteFirst I want to say I love this concept. When my uncle passed away, someone gave my mother the book "Jesus Calling". That was in 2005 and I bought a copy for myself and have used it ever since. I even had other people by the book. It has been a blessing to me as I know your grief book bouquets will be to others.
ReplyDeleteLisa Rubino is coming out soon with a book called "Good Grief Cooking." I love the concept of comfort food you can make that would be healthy and good for you, as you typically think of "comfort food" being junk food! These book bouquets are so lovely as a way to express sympathy!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have some nice ideas for sympathy gifts. I think gift baskets make a great sympathy gift. They normally contain some kind of comforting book plus lots of goodies that may come in handy if there isn't a lot of time to cook.
